About Empowering Consultants

Our Mission & Vision

At Empowering Consultants, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive — at home, in school, and in their community.

We provide high-quality, individualized occupational therapy services with a focus on empowering families, educators, and therapists to work collaboratively. Whether through direct treatment, evaluations, feeding therapy, or professional mentorship, our boutique agency is dedicated to delivering compassionate, functional, and culturally responsive care.

Built by a therapist, for therapists, we take pride in supporting school districts and families with the tools and knowledge they need to help children reach their fullest potential — emotionally, physically, and academically.

Christina Del Gais, OTD, OTR/L is a dedicated and experienced occupational therapist with over 27 years of pediatric practice. She has worked across various settings—including early intervention, preschool, and school-based programs—supporting children with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. Christina earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from New York University in 1997 and completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in May 2024.

She is the founder of Empowering Consultants, a boutique-style occupational therapy agency that partners with school districts to deliver high-quality services. Christina not only provides direct services but also leads a team of therapists, offering hands-on support to help them meet the needs of their students. Her mission is to empower students, staff, and caregivers alike.

Christina also consults with school districts to address occupational therapy concerns and promote best practices within the least restrictive environment. She frequently delivers engaging presentations on topics such as the role of occupational therapy in schools, tailored for both educators and families.

Since January 2022, Christina has served as an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s University, where she teaches Neurological Development in Pediatrics to graduate students in special education. Her commitment to lifelong learning has expanded her clinical expertise to include feeding therapy, specialization in autism spectrum disorder, and sensory integration strategies, among others.

Christina is fluent in Spanish and has long provided culturally responsive care to Spanish-speaking children and families. She is passionate about mentoring Occupational Therapists and is committed to building a community that supports therapists, families, and students in achieving functional, meaningful outcomes.
